I find the challenge enlivening - trying to find and honor the unique beauty in the simple, the ordinary, or the ever-abundant - or perhaps in that which might be overlooked. In a square foot, how many hundreds of blades of grass must exist? In a square yard, how many thousands? In an entire front or back yard? Innumerable. And what's more is that so often in the mornings, with the early light, look closely enough, and you'll see shimmering, vibrating light that offers proof that the spiders have left evidence of their own innumerable beautiful creations in the threads of silk that connect so many of these blades of grass one to the other. So much beauty & life & connectedness ...right beneath our feet.
